Floor Sanding Blogs
Floors in a residential London property needed sanding and staining ,as well as polishing.
The floors had become damaged and degraded by the natural wear and tear of family life.
Area-
Entrance hallway- 12 m2
The entrance hallways floorboards were pine, which is a softwood. This meant they required an extra level of care.
Some floorboards were so badly worn they needed replacing.
The step in the hallway created an obstruction for our machines.
Prior to sanding and staining, we supplied and fitted floorboards to replace the worn ones in the hallway and bathroom doorway.
The floor was sanded carefully using dust-free machines.
Gaps were filled with a mix of resin and slivers before the floor was buffed and vacuumed.
A coat of Dark Rich Mahogany Stain was applied before four coats of clear lacquer.
The floors are smoother and more level after work was completed on the worn floorboards.
The dark stain adds a quality look and the lacquer ensures the colour will last.
We provide virtually dust-free sanding with our continuous belt machinery with mobile extraction units, giving you a safer environment for your family.
