Sanding wood floors in Bryants Bottom

Posted on December 1st, 2017 In: Floor Sanding Blogs

What was the job?

The parquet floors of a Bryants Bottom property needed maintenance and light repair.

Challenges

Some parquet blocks needed refitting as they had become loose overtime. This process needs to be done carefully to avoid loosening or damaging more blocks.

What we did

When all loose blocks were refitted, we began sanding the surface using our dust-free process. We were careful to avoid fixtures and fittings while working.

We finished the work by applying three layers of lacquer.

During the floor restoration

The results

With all the blocks fitted securely, the floor is more level and the lacquer will preserve the colour and quality of the wood. It will be easier for the owners to maintain and should not need more work for years to come.
