Floor Sanding Blogs
The wood floor of the well known health and beauty store in on Monmouth Street in Covent Garden had become badly worn and damaged over the years by the constant footfall of customers and staff.
To maintain a professional reputation and appearance the manager needed the shop’s wood floor to be rejuvenated and returned to a quality finish, and also a strong finish, meaning no further work would be needed for years to come.
Being a busy central London shop its floor had to be returned to a fantastic finish. This required resanding, staining and sealing to make the floor look as good as new.
There was also a tight, out of business hours schedule to complete the job in, due to it being a busy retail property.
Using our specialist dustless sanding machines we sanded the degraded, damaged wood flooring to take it back to a smooth, level surface.
We then coated it with two layers of stain, one coat of black/jacobean varnish, two coats of black varnish and a final layer of satin finish.
The sanding and staining of the Shu Uemura retail store on Monmouth Street was a complete success. We managed to remove all signs of wear and tear with our sanding, and gave the flooring a fantastic, rich, dark finish with the stains we used.
We provide virtually dust-free sanding with our continuous belt machinery with mobile extraction units, giving you a safer environment for your family.
This organic finish not only adds beauty to your home but also has exceptional water-repellent characteristics, making it easier to clean and maintain.
This natural floor finish offers the softest and most mellow appearance – and leaves your floor able to breath.
Using soft buffing machines (and hand-polishing where required) will bring a wonderful sheen to your newly-finished floor.
