What was the job?
We were asked to go to Chelsea to carry out routine maintenance on a parquet floor.Challenges
The floors were not majorly damaged but blocks in parquet floors often become loose and this meant we had to check the entire surface.What we did
When we were sure there were no loose blocks which posed a risk to the machines or quality of the work, we began sanding the floor. The sanding was completed with lacquer.During the floor restoration
The results
As the floor was not terribly damaged, the work we did has mostly extended the lifespan of the wood. However, the lacquer does ensure it will be more resistant to the scuffs and scrapes which accompany heavy footfall.After we finished the job
