What was the job?
We travelled to Hook, Hampshire, for a property which needed repair work on its wood floors.
Challenges
There were holes in some boards and others had also become damaged. This had to be addressed before the primary sanding work could commence.
Some damaged boards were near fitted radiators, meaning we had to be especially careful not to damage them.
Areas:
Game room- 18.1 m2 – original pine floorboards
Top landing- 6.7 m2
How the floor looked before we started work
What we did
We allowed ourselves two hours to repair the damaged boards so as not to delay the job significantly. When we were sure they were secure, the sanding began. When the floor was even and clear, we applied a coat of dark oak stain followed by four coats of clear lacquer.

The results
With the dark stain, the floors look new and the lacquer will preserve the colour and quality of our work.
Nothing was damaged during the process and, if the owners care for the floors, we should not be required again for years.
We provide virtually dust-free sanding with our continuous belt machinery with mobile extraction units, giving you a safer environment for your family.
This organic finish not only adds beauty to your home but also has exceptional water-repellent characteristics, making it easier to clean and maintain.
We offer a full assessment of your wooden floors to determine what repairs are needed to provide the perfect working surface for the later stages of sanding, staining and sealing.
