What was the job?
Reading is a town in the county of Berkshire and we were happy to head over there to do some floor sanding recently.
The floors and stairs of a residential property were damaged and needed sanding so they could look great again.
Challenges
The floorboards in the home were discoloured and patchy. There was the possibility that just sanding would not solve this issue, as certain boards needed more attention than others.
Working on steps poses more of a health and safety issue than the larger surface area of a floor.
Areas:Entrance Hallway- 7.6 m2 (pine floorboards – 17 cm)

How the floor looked before we started work
What we did
Despite first impressions, the floors were not subject to damages. This meant the actual sanding was routine without obstacles.
After sanding, buffing and vacuuming the surface, we added a coat of stain to cover any remaining discolouration. The colour was then sealed by four coats of lacquer.

The results
After our work, the home is more inviting to guests and the property looks lived in rather than neglected.
The tone of the wood is now a lot lighter and the colour more uniform. It looks newly fitted and should remain so if the owner commits to a routine maintenance schedule.
We provide virtually dust-free sanding with our continuous belt machinery with mobile extraction units, giving you a safer environment for your family.
This organic finish not only adds beauty to your home but also has exceptional water-repellent characteristics, making it easier to clean and maintain.
We offer a full assessment of your wooden floors to determine what repairs are needed to provide the perfect working surface for the later stages of sanding, staining and sealing.
