Sanding wood floors in Walthamstow
What was the job?
We journeyed to Walthamstow to restore the worn wooden floors in a property.
Some boards were damaged and required repairs to create an even surface. Areas of the floor were more damaged than others and this needed to be considered before sanding. If we applied the same pressure in all places, the floor would not be smooth
First floor room- 15.8 m2 – pine boards whitewash
Ground floor room: 15.8 m
What we did
We carried out repairs in two linear metres of floorboards before sanding. This meant there would be no risk of an incomplete job or damage to the machines.
After sanding, buffing and vacuuming, we applied a white wash to the first floor room. All surfaces were coated with four layers of clear lacquer.
During the floor restoration
The floors look cleaner and will be easier to care for. With a maintenance routine, the floors will have an extended life span and more sanding will not be required for years to come.
