Sanding Wood Floors in Hampstead
What was the job?
This was a residential floor sanding job in Hampstead which required us to sand and lacquer some very nice wood floors that weren’t looking their best.
Unfortunately the floors had become damaged and degraded over time but we treat floors like that every day so we knew what to do.
The area between the staircase and wall was narrow. This can create difficulties when manoeuvring the sanding machines.
Residential jobs need to be completed as quickly as possible so as to not disrupt daily life.
What we did
We sanded and polished the floors, restoring them to a high quality. This also required gap filling on damaged floor boards.
Loose floorboards were nailed down.
The staircase was also sanded and stained, which took an extra level of expertise and our team’s extensive experience.
During the floor restoration
The floors were successfully sanded and nailing down the loose floorboards ensured a smooth, level surface.
Four coats of clear lacquer were applied after sanding to maintain the colour and resilience of the wood.
