Sanding and colouring wood floors in Teddington
What was the job?
A Teddington property needed maintenance and repair work on its wood floors.
The owner also wished for a stain to provide a darker, richer colour.
There was considerable damage to the floors, including large holes that revealed underneath the property. These had to be fixed before sanding and also so the owners could live in their home.
Several floorboards did not match and were placed to fill gaps.

What we did
We supplied and installed new boards to cover the holes, fitting them to maintain the floor’s pattern. When this was completed, as well as nailing down loose boards elsewhere, we were able to begin sanding.
After filling gaps with resin, we applied stain with black and dark teak mix and finished with three coats of satin finish lacquer.
Thanks to our repair work, the home is more fit for habitation. The rooms are usable and cleaner.
A dark stain means the newer boards are not noticeable and everything is uniform.
