Sanding wood floors in West Ealing
What was the job?
A home in West Ealing had worn floorboards which required sanding and some repairs to get them looking tip top.
Before we could begin sanding, we had to fix the damage to a few floorboards. Large gaps had also formed in places which had to be fixed.
Ground floor entrance hallway- 3.7 m2 (Pine floorboards – 12 cm)
Front room- 9.9 m2
Back room: 13.8 m2
First floor front bedroom: 13.8 m2
Back bedroom: 8.6 m2

What we did
A cosmetic gap fill then allowed us to buff and vacuum, ensuring there was no debris left behind after the machines had sanded. To finish, we used four coats of clear lacquer.
The lacquer will preserve the effects of sanding but also add extra resilience which can sometimes be necessary within a family home. There was a reduced risk of scratches when replacing furniture in the rooms.
