Sanding and staining wood floors in Feltham, Middlesex
What was the job?
We were asked to undertake some floor sanding and staining in Feltham, in a residential property that needed a little renovation.
The flooring had become worn down over time and the owners wanted a slight change in colour.
Parquet flooring requires a slightly different process to sanding regular floorboards.
Work had to be efficient to avoid interrupting day-to-day life in the home and to get the quality finish we always strive for.
How the floor looked before we started work
What we did
We sanded the floors to remove any imperfections and create a smooth surface before applying two coats of Yew stain.
To preserve the colour of the stain and quality of the wood, we applied clear lacquer.
During the floor restoration
The floor looks great and is smooth and level.
The lacquer means the floor is more resistant to scratches.
