What was the job?
We were called to a home in Haringey because the floors has been stained and damaged by DIY work.
Challenges
There were fiddly obstacles such as pipes and fittings to work around. There were also other signs of work such as tape on floors and paint stains which had to be removed.
How the floor looked before we started work
What we did
We removed all tape from the wood as that could compromise our work and would leave noticeable patches on the floor. When the work area was clear, we began sanding. It was important to be sure there was no paint left behind, otherwise the work would be substandard.
When we had erased the surface damage, we added a coat of Pyne stain, followed by four coats of clear varnish.

The results
The home does not look as if it is in the middle of renovations, instead appearing ready for a family to live in comfortable. The wood is a lot lighter and no longer blends in completely with the staircase.
There are steps which could use some sanding work but our services for this were not requested.
We provide virtually dust-free sanding with our continuous belt machinery with mobile extraction units, giving you a safer environment for your family.
This organic finish not only adds beauty to your home but also has exceptional water-repellent characteristics, making it easier to clean and maintain.
We offer a full assessment of your wooden floors to determine what repairs are needed to provide the perfect working surface for the later stages of sanding, staining and sealing.
