Floor Sanding Blogs
What was the job?
We ventured to Epsom, Surrey, to work on the floors of a restaurant in the area.
Surrey Palace’s floors needed some maintenance so they would not be off-putting to customers.
Challenges
It is important for a commercial property to be presentable but they have to consider the best time for undertaking maintenance. Our work could not intrude on trade.
The wood floors were next to tiled areas with no divider. We had to be careful not to damage the floor or our machines.
How the floor looked before we started work
What we did
As the floor had been cared for, there were no major repairs required before we began sanding. After ensuring there were no obstacles, we started the dust free process.
After sanding, vacuuming and buffing, we added a dark stain to the boards. Lacquer was then added so the floor would be resistant to foot traffic and furniture.
The results
Now the boards are clear and dark, the floor looks like new. The work has extended the lifespan of the floor so the restaurant owners need not worry about a big expense in the near future.
We provide virtually dust-free sanding with our continuous belt machinery with mobile extraction units, giving you a safer environment for your family.
This organic finish not only adds beauty to your home but also has exceptional water-repellent characteristics, making it easier to clean and maintain.
We offer a full assessment of your wooden floors to determine what repairs are needed to provide the perfect working surface for the later stages of sanding, staining and sealing.
