Keeping it stable

Posted on September 23rd, 2010 In: Blog, Wood Floor Restorations Blogs

After wood floor restoration, the boards can be affected by changes in humidity.
Help your floor to maintain its new look by maintaining (as far as practical) stable humidity inside your house.

So once floor sanding and sealing is complete, follow this simple regime:

– open windows every day – even for only 10-15 minutes – to allow any humidity to disappear.

– when you are away for the day, keep a small upstairs window open and all other internal doors open.

– in winter, when the house is being heated, try to maintain 50-60% humidity.
