Wood Floor RestorationIf you have a wooden floor, you are aware that you have fine taste in things. A wooden floor adds immensely to the beauty of the house and if you were to have one, you can be certain that your house is going to be most valued in your locality. Hence it seems prudent to invest in wood floor restorations techniques when required.

Restoration – What do you need to do?

The most common repair or restoration works done on the floor are repairs. Wooden floors take a fair bit of damage before they show. When they do, it is essential to care for them right away. Loose floor boards, refitting them, tackling stubborn nails and applying a new layer of varnish, natural wax or stain, are all part of restoration.

Sanding – A very important step

One of the most important processes in the restoration phase is sanding. Floor sanding is usually done when the floor has a worn out look. It involves removing the top layer with sanding paper and then applying a new layer of varnish, wax or oil. Prior to sanding, one has to prepare the floor and ensure that there are no nails sticking out, as they can damage the sanding machine.
