Art On Floors
A piece of art specially commissioned by Forbo Flooring Systems will go on display on a wall at this year’s Clerkenwall Design Week. Over a hundred displays of mini art from hot new artists and designers will come together on the wall, all of which will have been made using Floorink, a radical new flooring product created by Forbo Flooring Systems.
Forbo Flooring Systems have commissioned the wall of art in order to demonstrate the vast range of possibilities offered by their new product, with some of the designs also to be made available to buy separately should visitors to the event wish to do so. Floorink, which was developed in a joint operation between Forbo Flooring Systems and interior specialists Printed Space, is intended as a striking new way to create memorable flooring designs using a mixture of bespoke designs, graphics, high resolution photography, logos and maps to create an almost infinite array of new possibilities.
“Forbo Flooring Systems has always been at the cutting edge of contemporary design and we feel it is important for manufacturers to nurture up and coming talent,” says the UK Market Manager of Forbo Flooring Systems, Janet Lowe. “We are extremely pleased to be able to offer these artists the opportunity to showcase their work to a wider audience at Clerkenwall Design Week – and Floorink offers the perfect medium in which to do so.” Visitors will also have the chance to win a bespoke floor, with a Floorink design produced to their own specification, so anyone who has been thinking of replacing their current design, perhaps in need of wood floor repairs, should go along to the event.
