Everybody Loves Hardwood Floors

Posted on March 30th, 2011 In: News, Wood Floor Repairs News

Hardwood floors are the way to go. For new homes, or for enacting wood floor repairs, hardwood floors are not just popular and highly recommended by the experts. They are even the choice of the high and mighty. Hollywood celebrities such as Nicolas Cage, Matthew McConaughey and Raquel Welch all having had wood flooring installed in homes they have either recently purchased or just sold.

Estate agents like wood flooring too, with a survey recently having been carried out by the National Flooring Association showing that around ninety percent of real estate agents believe that homes with hardwood flooring tend to sell considerably quicker and easier than homes with other forms of flooring such as carpeting, and the trend is not confined to the United States, with wood floors being very much the in thing in the United Kingdom as well.

“In our recent survey of a thousand home owners, seventy-nine percent of respondents had hardwood floors,” says the chief marketing officer of a leading floor care product manufacturer, who wishes to remain anonymous.

The reasons for the success and popularity of hardwood flooring are not hard to determine, of course. They give a home a feel of natural beauty, as well as a sense of warmth and being easy to clean and simple to maintain. Hardwood flooring can be made to suit any almost any kind of interior décor and is a very hardwearing and much more durable than many other kinds of flooring.
