Hardwood Options can Floor Consumers
While more and more people are turning to hardwood for their flooring needs, the fact is that there are so many options around these days that many consumers can be overwhelmed – floored even – by the sheer amount of alternatives that they can be faced with. Likewise, the cost of installing a hardwood floor can be done very cheaply as a DIY project, or more expensively, if you get a professional to do a custom job.
“There are so many variables that it’s almost impossible to say ‘This is how much a floor costs” notes Hans Schaefer. Schaefer may work in Canada, but as a Sales and Marketing Manager of a hardwood flooring company, his advice applies all over the world, including in the United Kingdom. “The first thing we need to find out from a customer is what they’re looking for in a floor.”
In other words, before a consumer goes out shopping, they should really have sat down and figured out a few basics to begin with, such as where in the house the flooring is going to be fitted, the style it wants to be in to match both the house and their own personal requirements, and other factors such as budget, space and whether the floor will be subjected to things such as radiant heat. The final factor is who is going to fit the flooring, with most experts advising that a professional contractor is the most advisable course of action as an improperly fitted floor will only increase the likelihood that wood floor repairs will be needed all too soon.
