Michael Jack Takes Over as Chairman of Topp Tiles
Michael Jack has been appointed as the Chairman of Topp Tiles following the decision by former Chairman Barry Bester to step down. The former Tory MP for Flydale between the years of 1987 and 2010 has taken over the chairmanship for the company, which is the largest tile and wood flooring company (including flooring ideal for wood floor repairs) in the whole of the United Kingdom. Prior to taking up his new role at Topp Tiles, Jack has been a member of the company board for 12 years and also served as executive director.
“Topp Tiles is a remarkable and robust company” the 64-year-old former MP says. “For me to have been chosen by the board to succeed Barry Bester as its chairman is a very great honour. I know we have a strong management team and great staff and I am looking forward to working with them all so that, together, we can continue the development of products and services which our customers want.”
Barry Bester had worked for the company for no less than 26 years, over a quarter of a century, having also served as chief executive before adopting the position of chairman. He attributes his decision to resign from the role of chairman to the fact that he now has too many other private business interests and commitments to be able to devote his full attention to his Topp Tiles position.
