Parquet Floor Sanding Tips
Parquet floors can be the most beautiful flooring of them all, created with beautiful patterns and able to keep a home looking almost effortlessly charming providing they are properly maintained. Every now and again parquet floors will require sanding in order to remove the older top surface and bring out the new layer. If the floor is properly maintained, the effects of that floor sanding will also last considerably longer.
There are some simple tips for those with parquet floors to keep them correctly maintained. One such tip is to avoid moving furniture on the parquet floor, which often causes scratches. If there are children in the house, they should be taught not to drag their own possessions along the floor as well.
If there is any damage to any area of the parquet floor, it should be rectified at once, in order to ensure the damage remains localised and thus preventing further damage in other areas of the floor.
It is important to ensure that whatever surface cleaning material you are using to clean your floor has been approved for use with parquet floor sanding. A floor sanding expert should be able to suggest the correct material if you have any doubts. Varnish should also be compliant with the floor surface and it is highly recommended to use items such as brushes, mop and other accessories that will not scratch the surface of the parquet floor.
It should also go without saying that when the time comes to sand the parquet floor, such a task should only ever be carried out by experts.
