The New Fashions in Kitchen Flooring
Bright, colourful and natural are the watchwords when it comes to the latest designs and fashions in the world of kitchen flooring, according to the Detroit Free Press. The Detroit Free Press say that the more artistic and intricate style of kitchen flooring which have been in prominence over the last few years now appears to be giving way to a more simple, ‘back to basics’ approach with décor that is both cleaner and brighter in nature.
The Detroit Free Press are not the only ones to have noticed the change, with many in the kitchen flooring industry also having taken note of the consumer move toward more natural kinds of kitchen flooring, such as stone countertops and solid wood flooring being used in new flooring and wood floor repairs. Experts believe that consumers are moving in this direction now because they have realised that using kitchen flooring styles, such as those mentioned above, end up resulting in kitchen areas that seem both larger and brighter than they did with previous flooring styles. Therefore, it is also more likely to be used by potential home buyers should they be thinking of selling their home now or at any time in the future.
Flooring experts are keen to point out that the “back to basics” approach need not mean a lack of individuality in the kitchens, however, with the use of bright colouring adding a personal touch without making the décor seem overcomplicated or too busy looking.
